Ok, I'm getting really ticked off!
Have you read our new President's agenda yet? The section on Civil Rights is absolutely appalling. Here is a link to that page: http://www.whitehouse.gov/agenda/civil_rights/
He actually is comparing gay rights to racial based civil rights! You have to be kidding me!! It's under the heading "Support for the LGBT Community." LGBT stands for lesbian, gay, bi-sexual, trans-gender if you didn't know already.
Look at what he's saying!
"Expand hate crimes statutes." This is REAL dangerous ground folks. Up front it sounds great, but the last time the government tried to shove that down our throats it included banning our pastors from preaching that homosexuality is a sin. That battle isn't over, it is just beginning.
"Fight workplace discrimination." That's right, churches might have to hire gays despite the fact that their lifestyle goes against much of what we believe.
"Support full civil unions and federal rights for LGBT couples." Full civil unions? Federal rights? Are you serious?! He's saying that homosexual couple should have all the same rights as a MARRIED couple. Christian, Jew, Hindu, Catholic, Muslim, and most other religions feel that homosexuality is WRONG, and 90 some percent of Americans are NOT homosexual. Why the heck are We the People allowing this garbage to be forced on us?
"Oppose a constitutional ban on same-sex marriage." Yep, that's right. He wants to blow traditional marriage right out of the water. Men marry men; women marry women, and then enter the polygamy. Where will it stop?
"Repeal don't ask, don't tell." Hello?! Sexual orientation is a choice of lifestyle, not a civil right, and it should not be treated as a civil right. The United States has spent millions on forcing the homosexual agenda on us and our children, President Obama will make this more of the same.
"Expand Adoption Rights: President Obama believes that we must ensure adoption rights for all couples and individuals, regardless of their sexual orientation. He thinks that a child will benefit from a healthy and loving home, whether the parents are gay or not." That is word for word on www.whitehouse.gov. How can you call a home with a homosexual couple, that most Americans consider to be wrong and a perversion, 'healthy?' Not only will the child NOT benefit from this, but they will then be raised to accept this despicable behavior as normal. THAT IS SO WRONG!
"Promote AIDS prevention." Here's another one that sounds good on the surface. But look a little closer. Age-appropriate sex education should make you ask "Who determines what age is appropriate for what education?" This is Big Government cramming ideas that WE don't believe in onto OUR children.
He goes on to talk about distributing contraception in prisons to help prevent AIDS, then says that AIDS is a stigma that is unfairly associated with the gay lifestyle! Contraceptives are to prevent unwanted pregnancy. Two dudes in a prison are not going to make babies. Period. And if that is not an example of 'gay lifestyle' then I don't know what is.
"Empower women to prevent HIV/AIDS." This one sounds good, even after you read the whole paragraph. Are they hiding something? I think a little more research on these microbicides is in order just in case.
I believe that homosexuality is wrong; I think it is a perversion and an abomination against God. Most Americans agree with this attitude, so we should not let our lawmakers force us into accepting something that we all KNOW IS WRONG. If you hear about some law like these being passed, raise Cain about it!
Be sure about this, too. I do not hate gays, lesbians, bi-sexuals, or transgender people. I think they are wrong and what they are doing to themselves is appalling. Please join me in praying for them, that they will awaken to see what they are making themselves and that they can change before it's too late.
Why doesn't anyone ever talk about the HARM that homosexuality causes the people who practice it? This entry is already long enough, so I'll have to save that for another day.
May God bless you all.
