The Big Bang Theory

Anybody besides me watch ‘The Big Bang Theory?’ When I first saw it advertised I thought “The Big Bang Theory? How interesting could it possibly be? No thanks!”

And so season one went by without notice. Then my friend Seth was talking about it over lunch one day. He went on and on about how funny it was; four egghead buddies that are so smart they can barley relate to the real world and one normal neighbor girl. Hmmn…

As it happens, I came into the show right at the beginning of season two. It turns out this is the funniest show I have seen in a long, long time. Sheldon, the most intelligent and least normal of the four, is my favorite. In one episode, Leonard described Sheldon as, “One lab accident away from becoming a super-villain.”

It comes on Mondays on CBS at 8:00 pm. This past Monday was ‘The Cushion Saturation.’ Although I laughed my head off throughout the show, the last two minutes were so good I had to rewind the DVR and watch it more.

For those who are unfamiliar with the program, here is a brief quote from ‘The Cushion Saturation.’

(Penny is sitting on the couch, in Sheldon's spot)
Sheldon: You're in my spot.
Penny: Are you planning on sitting here?
Sheldon: No, I'm going to the comic book store.
Penny: Then what difference does it make?
Sheldon: What difference does it make?
Leonard: Here we go.
Sheldon: That is my spot. In an ever-changing world, it is a single point of consistency. If my life were expressed as a function on a four-dimensional Cartesian coordinate system, that spot at the moment I first sat on it would be (0,0,0,0).
Penny: What?
Leonard: Don't sit in his spot.

There is an excellent page about the show on TV.com. Check it (the show) out people, and let me know what you think.
