The Lord truly blessed us with a beautiful day today, don’t you think?
Keri, Morgan and I went to Wabash to see my dad today. I took over a new power supply to replace the one I loaned out on Saturday last week. Now he has a nice new one and the computer is working happy and okay.
Afterwards he and Mary took us out for supper; we went to Pizza the Hutt. They have bone out wings in several flavors including some massively hot ones. I asked the waitress if they were really hot and she assured me that they were. She actually advised me to go with the medium ones.
Naturally I got ten of the hot ones, knowing they wouldn’t really be THAT hot. But they really were pretty spicy. They kind of add up on you, after 4 or 5 you start to sweat a bit. Nice.
Before we went to dad’s we decide to find the Wabash Reef, also known as the Big Four Reef, a supposedly famous reef known throughout scientific circles around the country, perhaps even around the world. I Googled it and found a document from 1949 that someone had scanned into Adobe PDF. Interestingly it referred to the reef as “The famous Wabash reef.”
I grew up in Wabash, my mom seemed to know everything and everyplace, but I had never been told about this place. I stumbled upon a reference to it in the Wabash County Museum a couple of weeks ago.
It is a really cool place to visit, Morgan and I took lots of photos as you might expect. Anyone wanting to see it let me know and I will give you directions. It is surprisingly easy to find. I had been within a hundred or so feet of it countless times in the past and never even suspected anything. Very interesting.
